Required Qualifications:

Successful completion of an approved Nurse Practitioner program, with a minimum of a Master's degree. Active registration with the College of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CRNA) on the Nurse Practitioner Registrar, including Provisional Graduate Nurse Practitioner licensure. Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP).

Additional Required Qualifications:

Active licensure with the College of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CRNA) as a Nurse Practitioner (NP) in the Adult or Family/All Ages Stream. Triplicate prescribing privileges. Demonstrated knowledge of adult teaching and learning principles. Ability to develop education resources and presentations related to chronic pain management for colleagues, staff, and stakeholders. Excellent time management skills. Proven ability to function effectively both independently and as a member of a multidisciplinary team. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Knowledge and demonstrated proficiency with computers and electronics devices.

Preferred Qualifications:

Three years Nurse Practitioner practice focused on adult care in acute or ambulatory care settings. Experience and knowledge in chronic pain management. Experience working with surgical patients. Experience with the development and/or implementation of evidence-based practice. Previous experience with Connect Care (EPIC).
