Your Opportunity:

Reporting to the Patient Care Manager of the Lois Hole Hospital for Women, Ambulatory Clinics supports the primary focus of Urogynecology Clinic for Women's Health and other opportunities for other clinics. The Nurse Practitioner (NP) is responsible and accountable for the provision of evidence informed expert clinical care to patients who have related issues to the female pelvic floor. The NP is authorized and competent to perform comprehensive assessments, diagnosis (including ordering and interpretation of tests), prescribing medications, intervention, management, referral and evaluation of patient care. Working collaboratively with all members of the interprofessional health care team, the NP provides patient focused, holistic and trauma informed care. The incumbent will be a clinical resource and leader to support optimal patient care.

Description:

As a Nurse Practitioner (NP), you will provide a full range of comprehensive health services to individuals across their lifespan. You will be responsible for integrating clinical skills associated with nursing and medicine to assess, diagnose, order, and interpret diagnostic tests, prescribe treatment, and perform procedures to manage and meet the health needs of patients. Additionally, you will utilize advanced practice nursing competencies related to Clinical Practice, Leadership and Optimizing Health Systems, Education, and Research to increase care quality, promote appropriate use of health services, and inform and influence healthcare systems. Required Qualifications:

Successful completion of an approved Nurse Practitioner program, with a minimum of a Master's degree. Active registration with the College of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CRNA) on the Nurse Practitioner Registrar, including Provisional Graduate Nurse Practitioner licensure. Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP).

Additional Required Qualifications:

3 – 5 years in Women’s Health in a tertiary setting preferred. 3 – 5 years recent acute experience with Women’s Health including complex care and management required. 3 – 5 years recent experience in but not limited to Women’s Health diseases, Gynecology, L & D, Urogynecology, Colposcopy in a tertiary setting preferred. Connect Care in Ambulatory setting/Stork preferred. Computer proficiency: MS Teams, Outlook, Word, Excel. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with patients with a variety of mobility levels and assistance required.

Preferred Qualifications:

Ability to apply evidence-based practice standards in a clinical setting. Able to work independently and within a team. Proven ability to establish respectful relationships within a multidisciplinary team, and clients. Strong interpersonal, communication skills, critical thinking, organizational, collaborative and conflict management skills.
