Successful completion of an approved Nurse Practitioner program and a minimum of master's degree. Registration with CRNA on the Nurse Practitioner Registrar including Provisional Graduate Nurse Practitioner licensure. Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP).
Additional Required Qualifications:Master of Nursing Degree required. Active registration with CRNA Primary Care; All ages Extended Practice Roster. Certified for community-based practice. Current Heart and Stroke BLS and ACLS certification required. Demonstrates clinical competence in physical examination. Demonstrates clinical competence in ordering and interpretation of diagnostic tests such as x-ray, ECG and laboratory investigations. Demonstrated leadership in policy development. Demonstrated strengths in prioritization and adapting to fluctuating workload. Strong communication and leadership skills.
Preferred Qualifications:3-5 years recent Emergency / Urgent Care experience preferred. PALS, NRP, ATLS an asset. Experience suturing, splinting, cast application, and performing I&D is preferred.
