Required Qualifications:

Successful completion of an approved Nurse Practitioner program and a minimum of master's degree. Registration with CRNA on the Nurse Practitioner Registrar including Provisional Graduate Nurse Practitioner licensure. Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP).

Additional Required Qualifications:

College of Registered Nurses of Alberta with practice permit indicating Adult or Family/All Ages stream of practice. A minimum of 2 years of NP practice, with NP or RN experience in surgical settings. Commitment to Alberta Health Services Vision, Mission, Core Values and Goals.

Preferred Qualifications:

NP’s with hospital/acute care experience preferred. 3-5 years experience in a surgical setting as an RN preferred. Background in general surgery an asset. ACLS certification preferred. Experience working in Connect Care in a prescriber role. Quality improvement knowledge and training an asset.
