Required Qualifications:

Successful completion of an approved NP program with a Pediatric or family/all ages Permit, a minimum of a Master of Nursing level or equivalent. Registration with the CRNA as a Nurse Practitioner. BLS certification. Recent within the last 5 years acute care NP clinical experience.

Additional Required Qualifications:

Minimum 5 years of experience in Pediatric care. NP clinical experience in Pediatric care within the last 5 years. Working knowledge of healthcare IT systems (Alberta Netcare, Connect Care), Desktop IT skills with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel). Demonstrates and communicates respect to all in the workplace, and engages with the team, patient, and families in acknowledging, addressing, and resolving conflict; Models excellence in Professional Practice by adhering to relevant provincial and federal legislation, CRNA Standards of Practice and Guidelines, and the Canadian Nurses Association Code of Ethics as well as AHS organizational requirements; Identifies and practices within individual scope of practice and competency; Maintains clinical competency, including procedural skills relevant to practice; Displays and models professional behaviour that enacts AHS values; Demonstrates stewardship of health resources balancing patient and health system outcomes; Models patient and Family Centered Care Principles.
