Masters or equivalent in Nursing with focus on advanced clinical practice. Active registration with CRNA with Adult Practice Permit. 3-5 years recent experience relevant to the practice of Sleep Medicine including skills and experience with NIV/CPAP required. Recent outpatient medical experience an asset. Current BCLS required. Demonstrated clinical competence in physical examination. Demonstrated clinical competence in ordering and interpretation of diagnostic tests such X-ray, pulmonary function testing, ECG and laboratory investigations.
Additional Required Qualifications:
Demonstrated strengths in prioritization and adapting to fluctuating workload. Strong communication and leadership skills. Ability to incorporate advanced nursing knowledge and integrate knowledge and experiential base into the clinical practice. Demonstrates competence to practice autonomously, implements strategies to promote health and prevent illness, proficient in interventions relating to assessment and care. Proficient computer skills in Netcare, Connect Care, Impax and databases.
Preferred Qualifications:
Previous experience with dictation, writing prescriptions and order an asset.
