Required Qualifications:

Successful completion of an approved NP program at a minimum of a Master of Nursing level or equivalent. Registration with CRNA as an NP; or the ability to register. Participate in the Alberta Triplicate Prescription Program (TPP).


Additional Required Qualifications:

Successful completion of an approved NP program at a minimum of a Master of Nursing level or equivalent. Registration with CARNA as a NP. Recent clinical experience in area of practice. Willingness to complete additional education and/or certifications specific to area of practice. Meet requirements for education and/or preceptorship for the category of prescribing of Suboxone® and methadone applicable to their practice. 3-5 years of experience in providing treatment for opioid use disorder and other substance use disorder is required. Mental health experience required. Additional training in providing treatment to individuals with opioid use disorder.


Preferred Qualifications:

Mindfulness about cultural and gender diversity and positive regard towards clients. Experience with multi-cultural recovery pathways. Knowledge of an Indigenous language & culture. Knowledge of systemic issues such as poverty and stigma. Experience with Connect Care. Knowledge of Mental Health Services Protection Act and Narcotic Transition Services regulations.
