The ATOP NP requires graduation from a recognized nursing educational program with a master's degree in nursing with a focus on advanced clinical practice. Must have current registration with the College of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CRNA). Basic cardiac life support is required.

Preferred Qualifications:
An Oncology background, including further training in an oncology course (ex. ONDEC) or certification with the CNA [ex. CON(C)] would be an asset. Computer literacy required with EMR experience considered an asset. Thoracic ultrasound course is considered an asset. ACLS and prior ultrasound certification are an asset.
