Required Qualifications:

Successful completion of an approved NP program at a Master of Nursing level or equivalent. Eligible for licensure with CARNA as an NP and registered as an NP in one of the following categories: Family/All Ages NP: provide generalized health services across the lifespan, including newborns, infants, children, adolescents, adults, pregnant & postpartum women, and older adults. The NP is prepared as a generalist for practice that is usually community-based, including but not limited to, remote areas, family practice, primary care networks, outpatient clinics, urgent care and emergency departments. The NP may serve as the primary care provider to individuals and families. Adult NP: provide care services to young, middle aged and older adults in either a generalized adult practice where they see adults with a variety of medical conditions or adults in specialty area of practice. In some instances older adolescent care may be provided by and adult practitioner, when the adolescent’s development age and/or lifestyle may be of more close approximate that of an adult. Practice settings include acute & long term care as well as community setting. The NP has in-depth knowledge of adult acute & chronic illness and can work with complex patients.


Additional Required Qualifications:

3-5 years surgical experience required. Current BCLS required.


Preferred Qualifications:

Previous experience as an NP in the surgical setting preferred. Strong organizational, communication and collaboration skills in a multidisciplinary team environment. Able to adapt and set multiple priorities in a rapidly changing, dynamic environment. Able to work independently with minimal supervision.
