Completion of an accredited nursing education program. Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CRNA). Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP).
Additional Required Qualifications:Ability to provide direct and full scope patient care in all L&D areas. Current NRP. FHS training within past 2 years. 5 years (within the past 7) of experience in an urban labor & delivery unit with demonstrated excellence in obstetrical clinical practice and proficiency in all areas, including triage, OR, antepartum and L&D. Minimum 2 years L&D NC/charge nurse experience. Demonstrated professional maturity, including systems thinking, emotional intelligence, psychologically safe leadership, strong conflict resolution skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Demonstrated organizational, prioritization and critical thinking skills.
Preferred Qualifications:CAN Perinatal certification. Participation in MoreOB core team/Quality Council Proficiency with Outlook, Powerpoint, Word, Excel, Visio. Quality improvement, project management or change Management training (e.g. PROSCI, AIW). Leadership or adult education training & experience. Conflict resolution and/or effective communication training.
