Required Qualifications:

Completion of an accredited nursing education program. Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CRNA). Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP).

Additional Required Qualifications:

Current registration with College of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CRNA) required. Minimum 7 years nursing experience with a minimum of two years in a community-based program. Minimum 3 years charge nurse or nurse clinician experience. Minimum 3 years recent immunization experience, specifically for immunocompromised adults. Experience providing education & direction to other health care providers. Experience in a multidisciplinary team. Experience providing care to persons living with HIV/AIDS. Advanced knowledge of HIV care preferred. Proficient computer usage in Word, Excel, SharePoint, Adobe with minimum typing speed of 45 wpm. In-depth understanding of Connect Care. Demonstrated experience in change management, quality improvement initiatives, leadership & conflict management. Ability to quickly develop rapport, have compassion & understanding for persons living with HIV, understanding of stigma and a non-judgmental approach. Experience providing care, establishing rapport, & conducting assessments by telephone/virtual & in person. Ability to work & make decisions independently within scope.  Competent in responding to emergency situations as may be the only RN scheduled.  Ability to perform physical requirements of job including standing, bending, reaching, pushing/pulling, walking, lifting 10-15lbs, sitting and working at various workstations.

Preferred Qualifications:

Baccalaureate degree in Nursing. Demonstrated flexibility within a complex & changing environment which may involve working with clients with addictions, mental health concerns and those that have been or are incarcerated. Experience in trauma informed care, social drivers of health, cultural sensitivity, gender diversity, Indigenous health. Excellent patient relations skills & an ability to de-escalate patients. Experience working with patients with homicidal or suicidal ideation.
