Completion of an accredited nursing education program. Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CRNA). Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP).
Additional Required Qualifications:Bachelor's degree required. Minimum 5 years recent experience equivalent to (0.5 FTE) in acute care cardiology required. Demonstrated commitment to professional development required. Demonstrated strong leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills required. Able to work independently or collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary health care team. Advanced physical and psychosocial assessment skills required. Current certification in IV Initiation, Basic Cardiac Dysrhythmia Interpretation, IV medication administration. Must be able to sit and work at a computer station for prolonged periods of time. Must be able to walk and work in clinics with patients and push WOW’s in and out of patient care spaces.
Preferred Qualifications:Experience with atrial fibrillation patient populations. Recent experience in a CCU or Cath Lab environment. Proficient written and verbal English language skills. Ambulatory experience and Connect Care ambulatory experience. CNA Cardiology Certification an asset. Experience with family centered and collaborative practice approach and philosophy preferred. Recent experience with; Connect Care and Net Care.
