Completion of an accredited nursing education program. Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CRNA). Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP).
Additional Required Qualifications:Demonstrated ability to coach and lead colleagues. Baccalaureate degree in Nursing. Current Certification in BLS. Clinical expertise in cardiac critical care with 3 years recent experience, including charge responsibilities, required. Demonstrated leadership, organizational and interpersonal skills required. Demonstrated ability to function effectively in a stressful multidisciplinary environment. Proficient with advanced dysrhythmia interpretation and 12 lead ECG interpretation. Proficient in Hemodynamic monitoring (care of, and trouble shooting). Proficient in IV administration of vasoactive and inotropic drugs. Proficient in defibrillation and cardioversion. Proficient in the care and management of temporary pacemakers. Compliance with the AHS Hand Hygiene policies.
