Completion of an accredited nursing education program. Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CRNA). Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP). Additional Required Qualifications:Current CRNA registration. Minimum 3 years' experience as an RN in an acute medical inpatient nursing unit within the last 5 years. Proficiency with Inpatient Connect Care required. Current Nurse Clinician or Charge Nurse experience (within the last 2 years) required. Experience leading in a collaborative practice environment using CoAct Model of Care. Up-to-date certification (IV therapy, blood glucose monitoring, IV push etc.). Committee or working group membership experience. Demonstrated continuing education focusing on leadership and/or communication and mentorship/preceptorship. Quality improvement project experience. Completion of Required Organizational Learnings (Up-to-date). Ability to work in a fast-paced, non-sedentary work environment. Able to handle the physical demands of the position, including but not limited to walking, bending, lifting and standing for extended periods of the shift.
Preferred Qualifications:Baccalaureate degree in Nursing. Excellent communication, multi-tasking and interpersonal skills. Leading quality improvement projects, working groups or committees. Quality Improvement certification-AHS AIW - Yellow Belt. Leadership development courses within the last 2 years. Demonstrated understanding of the LEADS framework. Demonstrates ability to work autonomously in a team lead role. Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel.
