Completion of masters degree in Psychology; or masters degree in Social Work (clinical specialization) including education in mental health assessment and psychotherapy; or masters or bachelors degree in Occupational Therapy including training and experience in mental health assessment and provision of psychotherapy; or masters degree in Nursing or Psychiatric Nursing including training and experience in mental health assessment and provision of psychotherapy. Active or eligible for registration with the applicable Alberta regulatory college
Additional Required Qualifications:Completion of one of the following programs will be considered: Bachelor of Social Work including training and experience in mental health assessment and psychotherapy and who have Psychosocial Intervention Authorization. Bachelor’s degree in occupational therapy or a Related Master’s degree including training in mental health assessment and provision of psychotherapy or considerable experience in mental health assessment and provision of psychotherapy. Diploma or bachelor’s degree in nursing or Psychiatric Nursing with: Related master’s degree including training in mental health assessment and provision of psychotherapy or, Experience in mental health assessment and provision of psychotherapy. Minimum of 3 years of relevant mental health experience. Completed licensure under the Health Professions Act. Direct client care includes responding, screening, and prioritizing service, conducting necessary assessment and providing treatment to clients including mental status and risk assessments and therapy. Therapy. 5 years' experience in mental health/addictions. Non-Graduated driver's license (non-GDL) and access to a reliable personal vehicle. Nonviolent Crisis Intervention.
Preferred Qualifications:Experience in addictions and mental health service delivery in rural settings and a working knowledge of Connect Care would be preferred. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work independently.
