Required Qualifications:

Completion of masters degree in Psychology; or masters degree in Social Work (clinical specialization) including education in mental health assessment and psychotherapy; or masters or bachelors degree in Occupational Therapy including training and experience in mental health assessment and provision of psychotherapy; or masters degree in Nursing or Psychiatric Nursing including training and experience in mental health assessment and provision of psychotherapy. Active or eligible for registration with the applicable Alberta regulatory college

Additional Required Qualifications:

Completion of one of the following programs will be considered: Bachelor of Social Work including training and considerable experience in mental health assessment and psychotherapy and who have Psychosocial Intervention Authorization. Diploma or bachelor’s degree in nursing with: A related Master’s degree including training in mental health assessment and provision of psychotherapy or, Experience in mental health assessment and provision of psychotherapy. Previous experience within the past 5 years working in a community-based setting providing mental health assessments and psychotherapy to adults impacted by addiction or addiction and mental health issues. For this position only: Bachelor's of Social Work or equivalent is applicable, if combined with experience in counselling and provision of psychotherapy. Non-violent crisis intervention certification, suicide intervention training required.

Preferred Qualifications:

Authorization to perform restricted psychosocial intervention preferred. Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize workload. Previous experience working with individuals receiving narcotic transition services or opiate agonist therapy preferred. Experience in liaising and working in partnership with community stakeholders, other professionals and physicians in the continuum of Addiction and Mental Health care preferred. Naloxone administration training preferred.
