This is an exciting opportunity to join the Red Deer Addiction & Mental Health Clinic. As a Mental Health Therapist, you will use a variety of treatment modalities with adults experiencing significant mental health difficulties. Working both independently and as a member of a collaborative multidisciplinary team, you will provide evidence informed and best practices in crisis intervention, assessment, consultation, referral, drop-in/single session, case management and treatment. Required Qualifications:

Master's degree in Psychology; or master's degree in Social Work (clinical specialization) including education in mental health assessment and psychotherapy; or master's or bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy including training and experience in mental health assessment and provision of psychotherapy; or master's degree in Nursing or Psychiatric Nursing including training and experience in mental health assessment and provision of psychotherapy. Active or eligible for registration with the applicable Alberta regulatory college.

Additional Required Qualifications:

Minimum of 3 years working in a direct therapy position within Adult Addiction and Mental Health. Experience facilitating a variety of groups including psychoeducational and skills based. Proficiency with both DBT and CBT with the ability to utilize in therapy with clients. Proficiency with individual therapy, manage a case list, work within tight timeframes, and adhere to policies around total sessions and triggered reviews.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with time limited/goal-oriented therapy in an outpatient adult addiction and mental health setting. Demonstrated understanding of all Addiction and Mental Health programs within Red Deer area. SFBT and Trauma therapy considered an asset.
