Master's degree in Psychology; or master's degree in Social Work (clinical specialization) including education in mental health assessment and psychotherapy; or master's or bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy including training and experience in mental health assessment and provision of psychotherapy; or master's degree in Nursing or Psychiatric Nursing including training and experience in mental health assessment and provision of psychotherapy. Active or eligible for registration with the applicable Alberta regulatory college.
Additional Required Qualifications:To be successful in this role, you will have strong organization skills and thrive on being self-directed in your work. You will have adept communication and assessment skills and be comfortable navigating potential complexities of working across different systems and working with complex issues. Candidates with the following qualifications will be considered: Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy, Social Work, Psychology, or Nursing with considerable experience in mental health assessment and intervention. An equivalent level of education and experience will be considered. Registration in a professional regulatory body as defined by the Health Professions Act (CRNA, CRPNA, ACOT, CAP, ACSW). Registered Social Workers must be authorized to perform psychosocial interventions and designation as a Clinical Social Worker is preferred. 3-5 years of direct clinical experience with the focus on children, youth and their families, preferably in a community mental health setting. Formal training in a therapeutic modality of intervention may include, but is not limited to, Solution focused Therapy, CBT, Narrative, Motivational Interviewing, Family Systems, etc. Proficiency with computers, including MS Office Suite. Experience in Suicide Risk Management (assessment and intervention). Current CPR certification. Non Violent Crisis Intervention Training. Excellent interpersonal skills and well developed written and verbal skills.
Preferred Qualifications:Provisional status with current registration with CAP will be considered. Connect Care experience is preferred.
