Your Opportunity:

This position offers an exciting opportunity for an experienced mental health professional to permanently join the interdisciplinary team working at the TIES Program. The primary role of the MHT on our team is to support our clients' recovery journeys virtually and in-person through skills-focused, psychoeducational and psychotherapy group treatment. The MHT will deliver group-based intervention utilizing a Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and psychodynamic approach. Many clients you’ll be working with are looking to advance their personal recovery journey through learning and applying emotion regulation skills and participating in an insight orientated process group. Some clients may require advanced assessment to coordinate care with relevant addictions and mental health service providers within AMH. As such, you will be able to implement a wide range of DBT, CBT, ACT treatment interventions and develop collaborative comprehensive recovery/treatment plans, monitor progress and update care plans based on client outcomes, team recommendations, and goal attainment. The MHT is also expected to have an in-depth understanding of the Addictions and Mental Health referral pathway for assessment and care coordination as appropriate. Our team focuses heavily on enhancing clinical skills for ongoing high-quality care, with an emphasis on training, clinical supervision, and team building. This position has transitioned to Recovery Alberta effective September 1, 2024. By applying on this posting, if you are the successful candidate, you agree to and will become an employee of Recovery Alberta.

Description:

As the Mental Health Therapist, you will be required to use a variety of treatment modalities (individual, family, and group) to persons experiencing significant mental health difficulties.
