Master's degree in Psychology; or master's degree in Social Work (clinical specialization) including education in mental health assessment and psychotherapy; or master's or bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy including training and experience in mental health assessment and provision of psychotherapy; or master's degree in Nursing or Psychiatric Nursing including training and experience in mental health assessment and provision of psychotherapy. Active or eligible for registration with the applicable Alberta regulatory college.
Additional Required Qualifications:Current Heart & Stroke Foundation – BLS. 3-5 years of direct mental health clinical experience in comprehensive mental health assessment and the provision of psychotherapy. Knowledge and experience supporting individuals with concerns related to substance use/misuse, including supporting individuals through stages of change and supporting with referrals to community resources and residential treatment. Must be authorized to perform restricted activities – psychosocial interventions.
Preferred Qualifications:Certification and experience in therapeutic interventions, including but not limited to, effective de-escalation techniques, CBT, DBT, solution-focused therapy, motivational interviewing, mindfulness. Demonstrated knowledge and skill in the assessment and treatment of young adults with mental health concerns/diagnoses.
