Required Qualifications:

Master's degree in Psychology; or master's degree in Social Work (clinical specialization) including education in mental health assessment and psychotherapy; or master's or bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy including training and experience in mental health assessment and provision of psychotherapy; or master's degree in Nursing or Psychiatric Nursing including training and experience in mental health assessment and provision of psychotherapy. Active or eligible for registration with the applicable Alberta regulatory college.

Additional Required Qualifications:

A minimum of 10 years’ experience providing frontline mental health care in a variety of healthcare settings. Minimum 5 years’ clinical experience in chronic pain management and working with patients living with chronic pain). Excellent computer skills, including working knowledge of Zoom, Microsoft Office applications, and the ability to learn and utilize multiple electronic platforms concurrently. Strong knowledge of mental health and substance use concerns across populations. Knowledge of the substance use and mental health system across the province and resources that may be useful for program participants Virtual facilitation experience for groups of patients living with complex chronic conditions. Advanced skills in assessment and intervention for individuals of all ages with substance use and mental health concerns, including crisis intervention skills. Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to effectively liaise with various professionals. Ability to work confidently, independently and within collaborative partnerships. Demonstrated pattern of professional and personal development. Experience in fostering and maintaining strong, collaborative relationships with key partners within and outside of AHS. Ability to search out and evaluate evidence as required. Requires exceptional verbal, written and listening skills to create and communicate concepts and options. Ability to develop and facilitate presentations to convey information or transfer knowledge.

Preferred Qualifications:

Training on Acceptance & Commitment Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Dialectical Behavior Therapy. Experience working on a geographically dispersed team. Experience in program evaluation. Demonstrated abilities in project management and change management practices and methodologies. Facilitation and/or coordination experience in project planning. Experience with Connect Care/EMR.
