Completion of one of the following programs: a Master's degree in Psychology, a Bachelor's degree in Social Work incorporating education in mental health assessment, brief counseling, and crisis intervention, a Master's or Bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy with similar educational components, a Bachelor's degree in Nursing with training and experience in mental health assessment, crisis intervention, and brief counseling, or a Bachelor's degree in Psychiatric Nursing. Active or eligible for registration with the applicable Alberta regulatory college.
Additional Required Qualifications:Master’s degree required for Psychologists. Registration with appropriate regulatory body. Authorization to perform restricted psychosocial interventions (ACSW). Minimum of 2 years recent experience within the last 5 years in an adult community clinic mental health therapy setting. Adult Individual and group therapy experience. Adult mental health assessment and crisis stabilization experience. Training and therapy experience in DBT and Trauma focused treatment such as EMDR or ART with an adult population. This position has transitioned to Recovery Alberta effective September 1, 2024. Preferred Qualifications:Master’s Degree preferred for all other relevant disciplines Training and experience in goal focused episodic care and the recovery model. Basic knowledge of DSM 5, medical co-morbidities and psychotropic medications. Discharge planning experience, including knowledge of Calgary zone addiction and mental health resources. NVCI. BLS.
