Occupational Therapists: Completion of bachelor's degree in occupational therapy and active or eligible registration with the Alberta College of Occupational Therapists (ACOT). Psychologists: Completion of master's degree in psychology and active (or eligible registration) with the College of Alberta Psychologists (CAP). Registered Nurses and Registered Psychiatric Nurses: Completion of an accredited Nursing or Psychiatric Nursing education program and active (or eligible registration) with the College of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CRNA) or the College of Registered Psychiatric Nurses of Alberta (CRPNA). Social Workers: Completion of bachelor's degree in social work and active (or eligible registration) with the Alberta College of Social Work (ACSW).
Additional Required Qualifications:Minimum of 3 years of relevant addiction and mental health experience providing crisis intervention preferably in a community setting. Formal clinical training in triage, intervention and stabilization, preferably in a community setting. Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP). Ability to ambulate, climb stairs, and move quickly without limitations in a variety of environments. Extensive knowledge of the resources of Addiction and Mental Health and the community.
Preferred Qualifications:Demonstrated ability to work well with a range of community and agency stakeholders as well as clients and families.
