Your Opportunity:

This is a unique opportunity to lead the evolution of Medical Imaging Informatics as the organization expands from a traditional Diagnostic Imaging (DI) model to a broader enterprise imaging strategy. Reporting to the Director, IT - Medical Imaging, you will oversee two specialized support teams—Diagnostic Imaging Informatics and Patient Content Management—supporting critical platforms including AGFA Enterprise Imaging, Philips ISCV, and Quanum ECS. You will play a key role in shaping how imaging and patient content are managed, accessed, and integrated across the care continuum. This role offers the chance to influence strategy, build high-performing teams, and partner closely with clinical and operational leaders to deliver meaningful impact on patient care and system efficiency.

Description:

The Manager of Medical Imaging Informatics is responsible for the overall leadership, direction, and performance of teams supporting diagnostic imaging systems and enterprise patient content platforms. This role ensures the stability, optimization, and strategic advancement of imaging technologies, including PACS, long-term archives, and integrations with clinical systems. The Manager balances operational excellence with delivery of new initiatives, aligning resources to meet growing demands from diagnostic imaging and enterprise programs. Accountable for stakeholder engagement, team development, and governance, this role ensures imaging data is reliable, accessible, and aligned with organizational priorities. The position plays a critical role in enabling enterprise imaging growth while maintaining high standards of system performance, data integrity, and clinical support.

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Health Informatics, or a related field Minimum 5 years of progressive leadership experience, including team or project leadership Demonstrated experience managing complex, high-availability systems in a healthcare environment Strong understanding of clinical workflows, particularly within Diagnostic Imaging or related domains Proven ability to lead teams through change, manage competing priorities, and deliver results Experience with stakeholder engagement, including clinical, operational, and vendor partners Excellent communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills


Additional Required Qualifications:

As Required.


Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with enterprise imaging platforms (e.g., PACS/VNA), knowledge of DICOM/HL7 integrations, and familiarity with provincial systems such including Connect Care. Experience leading teams through organizational change and supporting large-scale digital health initiatives is an asset. Experience in healthcare IT, including experience supporting clinical systems
