The Manager, Shared Services plays a pivotal leadership role at the Kaye Edmonton Clinic, one of Canada's largest and most innovative ambulatory care centres. This position leads a diverse and highly skilled Shared Services team that supports clinic optimization and operational excellence across multiple Medicine and Surgery ambulatory care programs. The Shared Services team provides expertise in education and training, procurement, senior consulting services, site coordination, operational readiness, and quality improvement initiatives, serving as a critical resource for clinical teams throughout the KEC. Through collaboration with physicians, operational leaders, frontline staff, and project teams, the Manager drives improvements that enhance patient care, clinic efficiency, staff experience, and service delivery. The role offers the unique ability to influence change across a broad range of clinical programs, lead high-impact improvement initiatives, and contribute to the strategic direction of one of Alberta's largest ambulatory care sites.

Description:

As the Shared Services Manager, you will provide effective leadership to an interdisciplinary team of health care professionals. In this role, you will make key operational and clinical decisions, contribute to the achievement of site priorities, and provide oversight for the Shared Services team. You will build and sustain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, lead change management initiatives, foster team development, and collaboration in alignment with direction from the Executive Director. You will be responsible for establishing and maintaining an effective shared services framework that supports safe, efficient, and high-quality patient care, facilitating interdisciplinary collaboration, addressing operational and strategic planning concerns as it relates to the Kaye Edmonton Clinic Site priorities. Your leadership will align with and support the UAH and AHS vision, mission, and business plan, while fostering a culture of continuous quality improvement to ensure consistent, high-quality patient and family centered care.

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Health Administration, Nursing, Allied Health, Operations Management, or a related clinical field. Master's degree in Health Administration (MHA), Business Administration (MBA), Public Administration, or a related discipline is preferred. Relevant Implementation Science certification, Lean, Project Management (PMP), Prosci Change Management, or quality improvement certification is considered an asset. Minimum 5 years of progressive leadership experience in healthcare operations, ambulatory care, shared services, or clinical program management. Equivalent experiences will be considered. Demonstrated experience leading multidisciplinary teams in a complex healthcare environment. Experience managing operational services, process improvement initiatives, and organizational change. Proven success in stakeholder engagement and partnership development across clinical, operational, and corporate service areas. Experience with healthcare optimization, and performance improvement initiatives.
