Your Opportunity:

Come join our amazing Central Zone Rural Team as a Home Care Manager in Castor, Consort and Coronation! Please note this position is under classification review. The Home Care Manager collaborates with other leaders and departments to ensure patients receive high quality care in a safe, competent and ethical manner. The Home Care Manager is the liaison with zonal departments, affiliated hospitals, site and medical staff, external organizations and communities in order to coordinate and integrate patient programs and services within the home care setting. The Manager provides leadership to the site in keeping with ALA policies and procedures. The position ensures continuity of day to day operations of the department. The Home Care manager is a key position to lead the team of staff working within the unit fostering a culture that reflects ALA values and facilitates strong, healthy relationships between teams and disciplines working at the site. As the Manager, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining strong working relationships with key stakeholders, facilitating change management, promoting team development, teamwork and coordinating staffing and clinical work as identified by the Director. You will play a key role in supporting an integrated and holistic approach to patient care, health promotions and health maintenance. The Manager will be responsible for developing and maintaining an effective framework for the operations of resident care services in order to facilitate the delivery of efficient, effective and safe resident care. You will be implementing and monitoring your portfolio's budget while undertaking risk management, quality assurance and utilization of information in this field.

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in nursing. Current registration with CRNA.

Additional Required Qualifications:

Excellent communication, de-escalation and conflict management skills. Excellent analytical and decision-making skills. Ability to plan, organize and manage short and long-term projects and deliver customer focused results. Ability to foster a climate of cooperation amongst the team and build solid relationships with public agencies, government, committees and other partners.

Preferred Qualifications:

Minimum of five years’ nursing experience in Continuing Care and/or Acute Care. Minimum of two years’ management experience within a unionized environment. Knowledge and understanding of CCHSS, Accreditation, Accommodation Standards.
