The Audiology and ENT/Voice Clinic programs fall within Allied Health - Calgary Zone. The Care Manager reports directly to the Director Allied Health, and is responsible and accountable for providing direction, team leadership and organization to sustain high quality healthcare delivery within the programs. The Care Manager provides team leadership and day to day organization over operational activities. The Care Manager supports all human resource activities, operational and business processes inclusive of recruitment, performance management; participation in short and long-term program planning and development; establishing and maintaining professional practice standards; and leading health and safety practices in the workplace by ensuring staff feel safe, healthy, and valued. The Care Manager works closely with in-scope leaders to ensure operational practices and service delivery across the teams are aligned with the overall program goals and objectives.
Description:
We are looking for an individual with a strong patient focus and a commitment to quality and process improvement. Previous leadership experience, strong communication skills and experience working within interdisciplinary teams of clinicians is required. This position involves: budget management; hiring, supervising, and evaluating staff; change management; program development, and collaboration with AHS and provincial program leaders (i.e. EHDI). The Care Manager oversees programs at Richmond Road Diagnostic Treatment Centre and occasional travel may be required. The current leadership focus will be to support the diverse multidisciplinary teams at: (1) Calgary Audiology Services, which provides a full range of diagnostic audiological and specialized services for infants, children, adults and seniors; (2) the Calgary Voice Program and RRDTC ENT Clinics, including Speech & Language Pathologists, Licensed Practical Nurses, Surgical Processors, and Administrative Support. The position requires effective communication with strong organizational and interpersonal skills, proven ability to collaborate and foster partnerships, family/client centered focus, commitment to providing quality services, demonstrated ability and comfort with decision making responsibilities, coaching, and teaching, the ability to inspire and build confidence in others, ability to manage change, and manage human and physical resources. Informal support and collaboration with specialist physicians is a key element of this role.

A minimum of a bachelor’s level degree in one of the health disciplines overseen by this position. A Master’s degree in Health Administration or equivalencies of education and experience will be considered. Additional requirements: Active membership in good standing within profession. Previous leadership experience in an organization of significant size, complexity, and diversity. A clear pattern of professional and personal development. Access to reliable transportation.

Preferred Qualifications:
Master's level degree preferred. A minimum of 5 years' experience in a clinical setting. NUEE leadership experience an asset.
