Required Qualifications:

This position will be part of Acute Care Alberta effective April 1, 2025. Post-secondary 4-year degree in a health care profession, business or related field  Master’s degree in a health care profession, business or related field is preferred Project Management Designation   Equivalent combinations of education and experience will be considered


Additional Required Qualifications:

5 to 10 years of progressive experience in as a senior leader in Program/project management, including extensive knowledge of project management principles, tools and methodologies.  Experience with stakeholder relationship building within organizations and demonstrated ability to strengthen key relationships with public leaders, IEHPs, colleges, academia, patient/family advisors.  3 - 5 years of clinical experience working in a healthcare organization of significant size, complexity and diversity, understanding the IEHP’s challenges and opportunities.  Experience working directly with clinicians and health professionals; comfortable communicating with health care professionals, senior executives, other AHS departments and key collaborators (Alberta Health, College of Physicians and Surgeons of Alberta, NAIT, etc.).  Ability to work effectively and efficiently in a unique project environment where project resources and subject matter experts have limited availability to contribute; ability to move projects forward within these constraints.  Demonstrated application of systems thinking and change management.  Demonstrated strength in verbal and written communication skills; ability to relay or explain complex issues or difficult situations.  Experience with MS Office suite, including MS Project and Visio.


Preferred Qualifications:

Skill/experience in critical thinking, analysis, problem solving, negotiation, investigation and concerns resolution.  Motivated/adaptable team player with experience coordinating/leading teams.  Demonstrated ability and with decision making/communication, inspire and build confidence in others.  Ability to work independently/prioritize/meet deadlines.  Ability to develop/facilitate presentations to convey information/transfer knowledge.
