The candidate must have the physical capability to perform all aspects of the role. Candidate must have 2 years charge nurse experience. Equivalencies may be considered. Strong leadership and critical thinking skills, demonstrated by the ability to direct other healthcare workers, problem solve and escalate clinical concerns in a timely and appropriate manner. A strong oral and written communication and demonstrated organizational skills. Commitment to patient and family centered care and staff engagement. Demonstrated ability to maintain collaborative working relationships with patients, families and team members.
Additional Required Qualifications:
Experience in acute, ER and Seniors Health. Connect Care access. Knowledge of current Seniors' health trends.
Preferred Qualifications:
A Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing is preferred. Previous Management or Formal Leadership is preferred. Experience managing within a unionized environment preferred. Experience with change management is preferred. Previous Unit Manager experience preferred. RN or LPN preferred. Leadership / management experience.
