Completion of a Bachelor’s degree in Nursing or Psychiatric Nursing, Social Work, Psychology, Occupational Therapy (Master’s will be required for Psychology and Occupational Therapy to meet requirements below). A combination of education and clinical experience satisfactory to the employer will also be considered. Diploma in Nursing will be considered; Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing preferred. Current registration with the applicable professional college required. This position has been identified and is anticipated to transition to Recovery Alberta effective September 1, 2024. Additional Required Qualifications:
Demonstrated experience working on initiatives with partners both internal and external to AHS. Knowledge and understanding of the Addiction and Mental Health continuum of care. Minimum of two (2) years leadership experience within the health care industry with a focus on clinical operations. Experience in program evaluation and research. Experience managing human resources and related financial/statistical information. Experience facilitating activities that enhance safe working practices. Experience managing clinical workload information systems to manage patient care. Significant experience in managing labor relations activities and collective agreement administration. Demonstrated advanced skills with the Microsoft Office Suite and electronic tools for communication. A demonstrated record of continuous professional development. Minimum three (3) years’ progressive management experience with the health care industry in a Mental Health setting is required. Three (3) years of knowledge/skill development and experience in a mental health setting. Fluent in multiple collective agreements and have advanced knowledge of each discipline's roles, responsibilities, and scope of practice. Previous mental health inpatient experience, advanced knowledge of psychiatric rehabilitation principles and case management service delivery models is required.
Preferred Qualifications:
Master’s level preparation is preferred. Five (5) years related experience in mental health clinical practice is preferred. Community adult mental health outpatient and rehabilitation experience is preferred. Knowledge of a variety of treatment modalities across adult populations is an asset, as is knowledge and skills in Addiction treatment and services.
