Required Qualifications:

Completion of diploma from an accredited MRI Technologist Program recognized by the Alberta College of Medical Diagnostic & Therapeutic Technologists (ACMDTT) or completion of certification from an accredited MRI Technologist Program plus a diploma from an accredited Program in Medical Radiology, Diagnostic Medical Sonography (Ultrasound), Nuclear Medicine or Radiation Therapy. Active or eligible for registration with the Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists (CAMRT). Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Healthcare Provider (BCLS-HCP).

Additional Required Qualifications:

Minimum of five years' experience as a technologist in MR. Prior experience facilitating, instructing, developing learning, precepting and/or teaching. Practical experience with Diagnostic Imaging quality initiatives. Work effectively both independently and within a team environment. Experience collaborating and working effectively with technical, medical and administrative personnel, and fostering relationships and partnerships with internal and external stakeholders. Coaching and mentoring skills to foster an environment of collaboration and effective teamwork. Strong, adaptive communication skills utilizing a variety of modalities (verbal, written, active listening). Proficient computer skills (experience with Microsoft Office Suite [MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, SharePoint]). Strong organizational skills with the ability to plan, prioritize workload, and balance competing demands. Evidence of thoroughness, concern for accuracy, and attention to detail in performing tasks. Compassionate and caring attitude, and focused patient and family-centered care.

Preferred Qualifications:

Process improvement courses and/or certification. Training/courses in leadership, conflict resolution, change management and communication. Equivalences of education and experience will be considered.
