Completion of an accredited practical nurse education program. Active, or eligible for, registration and a practice permit as a Licensed Practical Nurse with the College of Licensed Practical Nurses and Health Care Aides of Alberta (CLHA). Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP).
Additional Required Qualifications:Must have a minimum of 1 year of Otolaryngology Head & Neck Surgery and general surgery experience; must be flexible and adaptable to work in a fast paced and changing environment; must not have any restrictions to walk, push, pull, transfer, bend, and carry; CPR must be current; N95 fit tested; MLL modules must be up to date or in progress; Connect Care trained; must be able to work to full scope of practice and have all required clinical competencies up to date. Successful applicant will be held accountable to their professional practice.
Preferred Qualifications:The LPN must be able to work in a fast paced, physically demanding environment, including standing, walking, lifting, pushing/pulling greater 25-50lbs, as well as reaching for patients who range from low to high BMI. Must not have any current activity restrictions, such as pulling, pushing, reaching and bending.
