As a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), you are part of an interprofessional health care team, utilizing nursing processes, critical thinking, problem solving, and decision making skills. You will be guided by your education, experience, and demonstrated skill level, in alignment with applicable legislation, standards of practice, policies, and procedures. You will play a key role in providing safe, high quality, patient and family centred care while reflecting the shared vision and values of the organization.

Completion of an accredited practical nurse education program. Active or eligible for registration and a practice permit as a Licensed Practical Nurse with the College of LPNs and HCAs of Alberta (CLHA). Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP).
Additional Required Qualifications:Basic computer literacy. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and a strong Family Centered Care philosophy. Ability to be physically confined to an area due to job demands. Ability to maintain confidentiality of all patient information and health records. Ability to adhere to nursing policy and practice standards. Ability to identify own strengths and weaknesses and showing initiative for improvement. Ability to work effectively and efficiently with others and accept change. Ability and availability to pick up a combination of days, evenings, nights, weekends and short-call shifts. Preferred Qualifications:Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred - Applicants with an equivalent combination of education, experience and personal attributes may be considered. Recent Pediatric experience preferred. Recent Charge Nurse experience preferred.
