Completion of an accredited Licensed Practical Nurse education program. Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Licensed Practical Nurses of Alberta (CLPNA). Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP).
Additional Required Qualifications:Two years of recent satisfactory experience. Current pediatric experience and/or evidence of ongoing professional development related to pediatrics. A philosophy of Family Centered care. A willingness to support and work well within a multi-disciplinary team to facilitate positive outcome for child and family. Evidence of ongoing professional development. Applicable advanced certification within the desired/specific specialty area. Be a mature, motivated, self-directed person with demonstrated excellent organizational and communication skills as evidenced by performance appraisals, reference checks and interview participation. Be able to work positively, effectively, and cooperatively within an interdisciplinary team, in the provision of family focused care. Have up-to-date computer training. Must be physically able to handle job requirements.
Preferred Qualifications:IV initiation competence is desirable. Recent Pediatric experience preferred.
