Completion of an accredited Licensed Practical Nurse education program. Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Licensed Practical Nurses of Alberta (CLPNA). Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP).
Additional Required Qualifications:Demonstrated ability to work effectively within an interdisciplinary team, to provide high quality care to patients, and to communicate observations is a must. Full licensing with CLPNA is required. Minimum 2 years surgical experience within the last 3 years is required. Please note: All Acute Care, Continuing Care, Mental Health and Public Health LPN, RN and RPN applications require a cover letter and current resume outlining experience and abilities relevant to the position. Preferred Qualifications:Catheterization and I.V. initiation courses are preferred. Orthopedic Physical Assessment course is an asset.
