Description:
As a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), you are part of an interprofessional health care team utilizing nursing processes, critical thinking, problem solving and decision making skills. You will be guided by your education, experience, demonstrated skill level and AHS policies and procedures. You will play a key role in providing safe, quality patient and family centered care while reflecting the shared vision and values of AHS.

Completion of an accredited practical nurse education program. Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Licensed Practical Nurses of Alberta (CLPNA). Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP).
Additional Required Qualifications:Excellent interpersonal, communication, and time management skills. Strong ability to work in a collaborative team demonstrating adaptability and flexibility from day to day. Proven critical thinking, decision-making and assessment skills. Physically able to perform all assigned tasks which may involve physical exertion not limited to climbing stairs, walking outside, lifting, pulling, pushing, stooping and carrying which may involve visits to client homes that are not ideal. Demonstrated ability to work independently in a team environment. 1 year LPN experience in a long-term care/home care/acute care setting in the last 5 years.
Preferred Qualifications:Supportive Pathways or any dementia related courses. Non-Violent Crisis Intervention. Palliative Care. Nail Care.
