Required Qualifications:

Completion of an accredited Licensed Practical Nurse education program. Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Licensed Practical Nurses of Alberta (CLPNA). Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP).

Additional Required Qualifications:

Minimum three (3) years experience within the last six (6) years’ in primary care, sexual health, harm reduction, Indigenous services, and/or urgent care/emergency. Computer proficiency with complex programs and databases; documentation is completed in the Electronic Medical Records. Ability to manage complex clients with minimal supervision. Strong communication skills, demonstrated knowledge of population health, and an advanced understanding of the Public Health Act.

Preferred Qualifications:

Minimum one (1) year within the past three (3) years experience in an STI Clinic or sexual health-related work. Experience and knowledge of Indigenous communities, outreach & harm reduction. Experience working with community partners/agencies & community engagement. Experience providing education to health professionals & external stakeholders. Recent experience performing phlebotomy.
