Licensed Practical Nurse - Orthopaedic Technician
Your Opportunity:
Not a 9 to 5? Neither are we. East Edmonton Urgent Care is growing and is looking for an LPN - Orthopaedic Technician who thrives in evenings, nights, and weekends, and values the flexibility that supports a healthy work–life balance. At this time, patient intake hours are Monday to Friday from 5:00 PM to 10:00 PM, and Saturdays and Sundays from 8:00 AM to 10:00 PM. While intake ends at those times, care often continues beyond intake hours, and some shifts may extend as late as 2:00 AM to ensure patients already in the clinic receive safe, complete, and uninterrupted care. This part time role offers meaningful, hands on work while allowing time for life outside of work. Reporting to the Manager of East Edmonton Urgent Care, the Orthopaedic Technician is an essential member of the interdisciplinary team, providing care to patients with a wide range of orthopaedic and urgent care needs. Working to full scope of practice, the role involves assessment, treatment, and ongoing monitoring of patient care in a fast paced urban urgent care environment intended for non-emergent conditions. No two shifts are the same. This position is well suited to someone who enjoys variety, works confidently in a dynamic setting, and takes pride in seeing patient care through from assessment to treatment. The Orthopaedic Technician also demonstrates a commitment to ongoing professional development and may support basic orthopaedic teaching within the department. If you are motivated by patient centred care, enjoy being part of a supportive team, and are looking for a part time role where your skills have an immediate and meaningful impact, this is an opportunity to make a difference for Edmontonians when timely care matters most.
