As a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), you are part of an interprofessional health care team, utilizing nursing processes, critical thinking, problem solving, and decision making skills. You will be guided by your education, experience, and demonstrated skill level, in alignment with applicable legislation, standards of practice, policies, and procedures. You will play a key role in providing safe, high quality, patient and family centred care while reflecting the shared vision and values of the organization.

Completion of an accredited practical nurse education program. Active or eligible for registration and a practice permit as a Licensed Practical Nurse with the College of LPNs and HCAs of Alberta (CLHA). Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP).
Additional Required Qualifications:Completion of an accredited nursing education program. Active registration and practice permit with CLPNA with Advanced Practice authorization for Perioperative Nursing. Operating Room experience within the past 2 years. Completion of a Peri-operative nursing course. Ability to wear lead and/or stand scrubbed for prolonged periods of time. Ability to work on-call and respond within 30 minutes. Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP).
Preferred Qualifications:Connect Care Experience - OpTime. 2 years continuous Operating Room experience in both the scrub and circulating role. Acute care experience within the past 5 years. Peri-operative Nursing Certification. PALS Certification. Ability to perform consistently in a highly organized, rapid moving, complex environment. Ability to collaborate within the expectations of a highly complex integrated team. Demonstrated advanced problem-solving skills integrating critical thinking and good judgement.
