Required Qualifications:

Completion of an accredited practical nurse education program. Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Licensed Practical Nurses of Alberta (CLPNA). Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP).

Additional Required Qualifications:

Min 3 years experience with Integrated Home Care required. Current experience (within 2 years) with skin and wound care management (including IHC courses) Minimum of two years current licensed practical nursing experience There is also an expectation to be a mobile worker. Requires travel to care for clients in their homes or in the community. You will be responsible to carry and move equipment, use and operate a laptop and mobile phone, and for manual handling (lifting, lowering, carrying, pushing and pulling) as a regular part of the job. For example: A push/pull of up to 50lbs for compression therapy on a regular basis is an expectation of this job. Learning resources and training are provided to safely perform work.

Preferred Qualifications:

Completion of a post-basic Medication Admin Course for LPN’s, Recent work experience in a community-based setting, Home Care experience preferred. Experience in case management practice and completion of McMaster AHS Case Management, A keen interest in wound care and a willingness to acquire expertise through education and training. Ability to perform all work-related duties in accordance with regulated legislature education preferred.
