Your Opportunity:
Are you a licensed practical nurse looking for a new adventure? As a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) at the Grande Prairie Regional Hospital (GPRH) in the Grand Prairie Cancer Centre (GPCC), you will have a key role in providing safe, ethical, and patient-centered care to adults referred for cancer treatment. You will integrate and apply your knowledge of cancer pathophysiology, disease progression, and symptom problems to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate the outcomes of best practice and evidence-based care and other clinical interventions. The LPN Oncology will identify and assess the physical, psychological, sociological, and spiritual needs of patients and their families and provide professional nursing care to patients and their families utilizing the nursing process consistent with the philosophy, objectives, and standards of the Nursing Department and the standards for Oncology Nursing practice issued by CANO. Grand Prairie is a city of approximately 68,000 people located in Northern Alberta, the heart of the Peace Region. The GPCC is a modern facility located in the Grand Prairie Regional Hospital (GPRH). As one of four Regional Cancer Centres within Cancer Care Alberta (CCA), GPCC provides high quality safe patient care and promotes the inclusion of patients and families in care decisions to enhance their patient experience. In addition to a competitive rate of pay, AHS currently has a Remote Retention Allowance in place to an annual maximum of $3,000. This allowance is non-pensionable and is payable on an hourly basis for all hours paid at the basic rate of pay.
