You will have the responsibility for the assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of the patient. Collaborating on the delivery of holistic, comprehensive care to meet the needs of individuals and families. You will demonstrate current nursing knowledge, efficient communication, and leadership skills. You will provide a wide variety of nursing services to patients and families in a diverse population. Cold Lake is situated on the traditional lands of Treaty 6 and those of the Métis, Cold Lake offers an excellent quality of life for all ages. As a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), you are part of an interprofessional health care team, utilizing nursing processes, critical thinking, problem solving, and decision making skills. You will be guided by your education, experience, and demonstrated skill level, in alignment with applicable legislation, standards of practice, policies, and procedures. You will play a key role in providing safe, high quality, patient and family centred care while reflecting the shared vision and values of the organization.

Completion of an accredited practical nurse education program. Active or eligible for registration and a practice permit as a Licensed Practical Nurse with the College of LPNs and HCAs of Alberta (CLHA). Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP).
Additional Required Qualifications:You must have 2 of the last 5 years practicing as a front-line Licensed Practical Nurse on a medical/surgical unit or emergency/critical care unit.
Preferred Qualifications:Experienced with IV initiation and management. Certification in the following courses is preferred: Canadian Triage and Acuity Scale (CTAS) Current Trauma Nursing Course (TNCC) Advanced Studies in Critical Nursing (ACCN) Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course (ENPC) Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP)
