The Team Auction Center (TAC) encompasses three multi-purpose recreation facilities, all under one roof. Conveniently located in the heart of Lions West Valley Park, the Team Auction Center is surrounded by five baseball diamonds, a soccer field, the rodeo grounds, a secluded day-use park and a 40-site full-service RV Park. As members of the multidisciplinary health care team, Licensed Practical Nurses working within their scope of practice collaborate on the delivery of care to meet the needs of clients. LPN’s assist with the provision of nursing care to individuals in all developmental stages, contribute to the nursing diagnosis, and participate in nursing interventions and outcomes. You will be required to work weekends and must be able to meet the physical demands of the job.
Description:
As a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), you are part of an interprofessional health care team, utilizing nursing processes, critical thinking, problem solving, and decision making skills. You will be guided by your education, experience, and demonstrated skill level, in alignment with applicable legislation, standards of practice, policies, and procedures. You will play a key role in providing safe, high quality, patient and family centred care while reflecting the shared vision and values of the organization.

Completion of an accredited practical nurse education program. Active or eligible for registration and a practice permit as a Licensed Practical Nurse with the College of LPNs and HCAs of Alberta (CLHA). Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP).
Additional Required Qualifications:Physically able to perform all assigned tasks and may involve physical exertion not limited to climbing stairs, walking outside, lifting, pulling, pushing, stooping, and carrying which may involve visits to client homes that are not ideal.
Preferred Qualifications:Experience with Connect Care, Microsoft Office and general computer skills is an asset. Experience with wound care is an asset. 1-2 years previous experience in home care or acute care is an asset.
