Licensed Practical Nurse

Completion of an accredited practical nurse education program. Active, or eligible for, registration and a practice permit as a Licensed Practical Nurse with the College of Licensed Practical Nurses and Health Care Aides of Alberta (CLHA). Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP).
Additional Required Qualifications:Minimum of five years of progressively responsible practice as a Licensed Practical Nurse; Experience conducting competency assessments for Health Care Aides, including direct observation, skills validation, and documentation of performance; Experience in completing chart and documentation audits to ensure compliance with organizational policies, health regulations, and quality‑improvement standards.
Preferred Qualifications:Certified in IV initiation and venipuncture (blood draws); Experience in continuing care, supportive living, or long-term care environments. Act as a clinical resource for staff regarding wound care practices.
