Completion of an accredited practical nurse education program. Active, or eligible for, registration and a practice permit as a Licensed Practical Nurse with the College of Licensed Practical Nurses and Health Care Aides of Alberta (CLHA). Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP).
Additional Required Qualifications:Preference will be given to nurses with prior experience in Day surgery. Preference will be given to nurses with surgical experience. Ability to work days, evenings and weekends Ability to handle heavy or awkward items (lifting, transferring, carrying), and withstand considerable walking or standing. Ability to be physically confined to an area due to job demands. Ability to maintain confidentiality of all patient information and health records. Ability to adhere to nursing policy and practice standards. Ability to maintain adherence to CLPNA Code of Ethics.
