Completion of an accredited practical nurse education program. Active, or eligible for, registration and a practice permit as a Licensed Practical Nurse with the College of Licensed Practical Nurses and Health Care Aides of Alberta (CLHA). Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP).
Additional Required Qualifications:2 years current experience in the ambulatory setting and/or Medical/Surgical. Current Immunization certification required. Excellent communication, documentation skills and the ability to participate as an interdisciplinary team member required. Must be able to lift and carry 10-15kg regularly and participate in hands on care of patients (i.e. transfers, bariatric clients, bending, twisting, walking distances). Must be able to perform CPR on an adult. current experience in the ambulatory setting. Experience assisting physicians during minor procedures required. Experience in last 2 years with CVAD care including PICC removals.
Preferred Qualifications:Current certification in: PICC care and removal and Methotrexate administration. Experience with patient teaching and Fibroscan Certification preferred. Connect Care Clinic Nurse documentation experience preferred.
