Completion of an accredited practical nurse education program. Active, or eligible for, registration and a practice permit as a Licensed Practical Nurse with the College of Licensed Practical Nurses and Health Care Aides of Alberta (CLHA). Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP).
Additional Required Qualifications:Completion of a post-basic Medication Administration and CVAD certification for LPN’s. A keen interest in wound care and a willingness to acquire expertise through education and training. Handling, moving and lifting heavy or awkward equipment and/or individuals are required. A team player with excellent interpersonal, communication and organizational skills. Ability to perform all work-related duties in accordance with regulated legislature.
Preferred Qualifications:Experience working in the Community a definite asset. Home Care experience a definite asset. Minimum of two years current nursing experience with one year in a community-based setting preferred.
