Completion of an accredited practical nurse education program. Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Licensed Practical Nurses of Alberta (CLPNA). Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP).
Additional Required Qualifications:Ability to work as a member of a team and to request and accept direction as required. Demonstrates critical thinking skills, with in scope of practice, including clinical judgment, problem solving skills and strong decision-making ability. Dementia experience is required. Strong written and verbal communication skills are required as is a commitment to integrating Patient and Family Centered Care principles into your practice. The ability to adapt quickly to changing and fluctuating workloads will be vital. A commitment to promoting a positive work environment and to professional development is valued. Preferred Qualifications:Geriatric experience. Supportive living and/or continuing care experience is an asset. Supportive pathways certification. Non-violent crisis intervention certification. Palliative experience is an asset.
