Completion of an accredited practical nurse education program. Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Licensed Practical Nurses of Alberta (CLPNA). Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP).
Additional Required Qualifications:Graduate from an approved Licensed Practical Nurse Program required. Current/active registration with the College of Licensed Practical Nurses of Alberta (CLPNA) required. Current successful completion of BCLS program is required. Minimum 4-5 years recent acute surgical inpatient LPN experience is required. Experience working to full scope of practice an asset. Ability to work as a member of a team and to request and accept direction as required. Critical thinking skills within scope of practice, including clinical judgment and problem solving. Excellent interpersonal, organizational and communication skills required. Demonstrated ability to adjust to rapid changes in workload. Connect Care training preferred.
