Completion of an accredited practical nurse education program. Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Licensed Practical Nurses of Alberta (CLPNA). Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP).
Additional Required Qualifications:3-5 years LPN experience dealing with all entire age spectrum including seniors. Currently registered with CLPNA as a LPN in good standing. Be able to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team. Strong communication skills. Note: you are required to work days and weekends. When working weekends you will be working with limited staff. In future you may have to work evenings, nights and on call. When working evenings, you will be working with limited staff and nights/on call overnight (only one nurse works so you are alone) where you will be called out into the community/lodge settings to address client issues.
Preferred Qualifications:Supportive Pathways/P.I.E.C.E.S. Palliative Care course/experience. Foot care course/experience. Wound care. It’s Your Move course. Medication Assistance Program (MAP).
